The Meditations Library
Twenty-five guided meditations, freely given — drawn from years of practice with students, clients, and Lydia’s own path. No account, no email, no catch. Come back to whichever one you need, whenever you need it.
An active meditation technique built to release pent-up emotion and tension, move you out of a freeze state, and bring you into stillness and awareness. Five stages, each with its own instruction. Practice in a private space where you can move freely, in loose clothing — most effective in the morning.
Stage 1 — Chaotic Breathing (10 min). Stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Eyes closed, breathe fast and erratically through the nose — no rhythm, no control. Let the breath energize you and loosen what’s stuck.
Stage 2 — Catharsis (10 min). Let whatever wants to move, move: scream, laugh, cry, jump, dance. No judgment, no overthinking — full expression. Can be done silently and inward if needed.
Stage 3 — Jumping with “Hoo” (10 min). Arms raised, jump repeatedly, landing firmly on the soles of the feet while shouting “Hoo!” from the belly with each landing. Can be done silently and inward if needed.
Stage 4 — Stillness (15 min). Stop completely, wherever you are. Freeze. Stay silent and observe — thoughts, feelings, sensations — without moving.
Stage 5 — Celebration (15 min). Dance freely. Let the movement be a celebration — gratitude, joy, aliveness, however that wants to move through the body.
Afterward, sit quietly for a few minutes before returning to the day. Drink water. This practice can help move a nervous system out of freeze — the movement and chaotic breath activate the body, the catharsis stage releases what’s been held, the stillness stage builds awareness, and the celebration stage reconnects to aliveness. Most effective practiced consistently, not just once.
These practices are drawn from the full body of work.
If they land, there’s more where they came from — structured, sequential, and built to take you further.
